This racket is worth every penny and will give you the performance benefits you need. LEARNERS : If you have an entry level frame and are wondering about a new tennis racket to help your game Look no further. The ball does what I want it to and goes where it should. With delicate shots, like drop shots or touch volleys this racket is just how you would want a racket to feel. It is stable under impact and with the big sweet spot my volleys were really good. The ball stayed low over the net and I was able to get plenty of depth. When I went really aggressive with the slice then I found I could really knife the backhand. The balance on the Pure Drive makes slice a really effective shot with this racket. Players who hit flatter may have to ease back on the power or at least string at a higher tension to get more control with this frame.

Luckily the open string pattern meant generating topspin on this racket was easy. Controlling the power this racket produces can be tricky at times. Too much of power is not necessarily a good thing. With the extra power that I seem to be able to generate with this racket I did find that some of my groundstrokes flew off the strings a little too much. If you feel you need a little help in this department then certainly the Pure Drive will help you. I found over the month of play testing this racket that it made it easier to hit the ball hard. In fact I would go as far to say that this racket gives extra pop without actually going flat out on my shots. It is an easy power and you do not have to swing particularly hard or fast to get good pop on this frame. Whether you have a long or short swing this frame still produces the goods. The Pure drive lives up to its name and it is a powerful frame. Spin and Slice are easy to put on the serve.
#BABOLAT PURE DRIVE PRO FREE#
Despite my size I do not hit many aces but I feel that I got a few more free points from my service. Easy power generation and the nice balance mean that generating fast racket head speed with this frame is not difficult at all. My serve with the Pure Drive definitely feels a little weightier than usual which is a huge plus. I did way back then and now I have a good go to serve. Navy blue and sky Blue looks really good!Īs a junior my coach would always say to me practice your serve, it will always stand you in good stead on court. Does n’t it look great too? I love the 2021 paint job. No breaking in time or anything like that. I found this racket is really just easy to play with. The Pure Drive is not one of those rackets. The balance, sweet spot, weight all take some time just to find confidence with the ball. A little bit like a new pair of shoes, you need to soften the materials to make them a little more comfortable.

Sometimes tennis rackets can take a little bit of getting get used to. It has an aero feel for moving through the air nice and quickly. One of the noticeable things about the 2021 Pure Drive is the frame is quite rounded. At 300g and 100sq inch you cannot really go wrong. Babolat have remained true to the original Babolat Pure Drive as the racket weighs 300g.
#BABOLAT PURE DRIVE PRO PLUS#
The standard Pure Drive is 100 sq inch which is classified as a Mid Plus Racket. This 2021 model is 16×19 string pattern which has remained the same as the previous Pure Drive. This is a soft co polyester string that I really like. My Babolat Pure Drive 2021 was strung with String Kong Yeti 1.25mm at 50lbs. Nowadays Babolat has established itself as a hugely popular choice of tennis players worldwide including multiple Grand slam winners Rafael Nadal and Garbiñe Muguruza. Believe it or not Babolat are the longest established tennis brand in the world. Back then Babolat was an up and coming brand perhaps better known for its tennis strings than its racket line.

I remember Andy Roddick and Kim Clijsters used this racket in the 2000s.
